We have people here who pay their zakaah and they help to handle the needs of those less fortunate. We have been known to help people with as little as $1.00 to as much as $3,000.00, and more, with a valid and legitimate need. Walhamdulillaah.
Please note that if anyone comes to you (Muslim male or female) asking for assistance in the name of being a member or part of Masjidul Muslimiin, or, as is often used, they say they are a part of Shaykh Adly's Community, we caution you against accepting this and we claim no responsibility for what might come from accepting what they say.
