Ramadan Mubarak

Dear members of the community

Assalaamu Alaikum,

Ramadan Mubarak!

The blessed month of Ramadan is confirmed to start tomorrow, Friday April 24, 2020. May Allah (SWT) accept all of our good deeds this Ramadan and change our current situation to a better one, and may He grant us all the best of this life and the hereafter.

COVID-19 Alert

This time we are beginning the month of Ramadan amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation which is still remains uncertain. Under such circumstances it is incumbent upon all of us, as community members and Masjid administration, that we take all necessary precautionary measures that, by the Will of Allah (SWT), will keep us all safe.

In light of the current situation, the Masjid administration would like you all to be aware of the following:

  • The Masjid will be operating only to provide the necessary and bare minimum services
  • Tarawih will NOT be performed at the Masjid. You are encouraged to pray Tarawih at home. You may start tonight Thursday April 23, 2020.
  • The Masjid will conduct only the five daily prayers. During this time, the Masjid will be opened 10 minutes before Salah and closed 10 minutes after Salah. After this you will be expected to leave the Masjid's premises.
  • The Masjid will not be organizing any Iftar or dinner.
  • Individuals or groups should not bring food nor have their own private gatherings in the Masjid's premises.
  • Due to our limited resources, it is not always feasible to keep the Masjid disinfected at all times. Therefore, those who perform Salah at the Masjid should be aware of this fact and attend the Masjid at their own risk.
  • If you decide to come, it is advised that you bring your own prayer rug.

Please take all precautionary measures, such as wearing a mask, frequent hand washing, avoid shaking hands and other ways of social distancing.

If you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms - no matter how mild they may be, like fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough and shortness of breath, then it is your obligation in the interest of every one’s safety and health that you DO NOT COME TO THE MASJID and seek medical attention immediately.

As the situation evolves, we will insha Allah make changes accordingly and keep you notified. But, until then, please abide by the rules listed above. This is a necessary inconvenience, but in everyone's best interest.

May Allah (SWT) bless you for your understanding and cooperation.

Jazakallahu khairan
